It’s often within our darkest times that we choose to embark upon our most creative endeavours. Either from escapism or a need to strengthen your sense of self – challenging times can trigger a light bulb moment – as was the case for Jacinta Siracusa.
After breaking away from an abusive marriage and with a new baby, she gained the freedom to re-discover her lost love for riding motorbikes. Feeling her old self again, she jumped on a Triumph Thruxton 900 – and bought one soon after. It has become a symbol of her freedom. Jacinta’s warm spirit is infectious. Her teenage curiosity with motorcycle riding lead to a long-standing career in the industry that now includes bike journalism and a streetwear brand (Motodoll) that donates profits to victims of domestic abuse. A love for bikes, community and standing up for her beliefs – it’s no surprise she’s an inspiration to growing community of female riders around Melbourne, Australia.
