The Malle Mile

A day at the races

Glorious sunshine, bonhomie and a cavalcade of classic bikes slugging it out in the grounds of an English country home… what’s not to like?

Brainchild of two brothers, purveyors of beautiful leather goods, the Malle Mile was born to the evocative aromas of hay bales and petroleum.

Malle Leather creators Robert Nightingale and Jonathan Cazzola, who FTR bumped into at The Bike Shed, took over a friend’s 18th Century Keflington Hall in Kent to host the inaugural event.

The Malle Mile, an eighth of a mile sprint on grass track, attracted classic bikes from all eras, all corners of the country and all comers from every walk of life.

Check out the bike banter, British heritage and bespoke bits at the Bolt London-hosted event, in this film from the guys at We Are Shuffle.

Fancy coming along to next year’s event? Register here. If you can’t make it, we’ll be heading over – we hear motorcycle polo could even be on the cards…
