Macco Motors is José and Tito, based in Cádiz in the south of Spain. Two long-time friends who are ‘just like brothers’, they’ve shared the same passion for four and two wheels since they first met more than 20 years ago.
Our passion for motorcycles led us to launch Macco Motors in late 2011 – a place where we could realise our dreams and those of others. We’re now exporting custom bikes worldwide. More than 90% of our work goes to the UK, Germany, Italy and the US.
We have always been interested in and attracted to the aesthetics of classic bikes; the style of brands such as Triumph draw heavily on the retro look which influences us when we’re customising a bike. We try to combine style and performance, and try to get something unique and exclusive in each new creation.
It’s all in the detail
Detail is hugely important for us – we look for harmony in curves and shapes and aim to keep the spirit of the original bike. Therefore, working with the client on the previous design is fundamental for us so that we combine their needs with our particular style to meet their expectations.
Macco doesn’t customise the odd Triumph, we specialise in Triumph motorcycles. They meet all our requirements: modern features with attractive classic lines, highly sought after even today among vintage motorcyclists. Other brands also work, but the most requested by clients are Triumphs.
Throughout the customising process we provide a revamped new aesthetic that combines a classic, retro look with a more current and cosmopolitan design. Meanwhile, the motorcycle’s overall performance and the feel of riding are re-energised.
The new Triumph models help to bring out the best from our work. We’ve recently finished our Triumph T120 number four and we’re very proud of these motorcycles. Everything has changed on the new Triumph models, so we needed to reinvent this build (we were used to mainly working with the previous models).
Two of these T120s were built into a cafe racer style and one was customised with a complete USD front forks conversion. Triumph are producing beautiful well-built classic motorcycles that meet modern standards, and that’s why we continue to use them as a base for our customs.
